Gender stereotypes and societal stigmas are widespread among people in Russia. But drag artists find the strength and courage to express themselves the way they feel. And please the audience of their show with their performances. For several days I was shooting photos of rehearsals and performances of the creative association of drag artists AFORE. Their shows on stage are not just lip-sync and dancing, but complete immersive performances dedicated to freedom of expression, love, gender equality and the fight against social stigma.
